These terms are the agreement between you and Levra for using the Levra web app at www.levra.ch/app, the Levra iOS app and its Share Extension, and the Levra Chrome extension (together, "Levra"). Please read them before you create an account. How we handle personal data is described separately in the privacy notice.

1. Who we are

Levra is a sole proprietorship (Einzelunternehmen) of Tarek Wady, Solothurn, Switzerland, hello@levra.ch ("we", "us").

2. The agreement

By creating an account or using Levra you accept these terms. If you use Levra on behalf of a company or another organisation, you confirm that you may bind it, and "you" includes that organisation. You must be at least 16 years old.

Where the iOS app is concerned, Apple's terms for apps from the App Store apply in addition. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for Levra.

3. Plans, usage and payment

The plans, their prices, what each includes and the current rates for extra usage are shown on the plan page in the web app (Settings → Plan) before you buy anything. Prices are in Swiss francs and are final prices: they include value added tax where we have to charge it.

3.1 Free and Pro

Every account starts on the free plan. It costs nothing and includes a one-time amount of AI usage to try the AI features; it does not renew. Pro is a paid subscription, monthly or yearly, with a larger amount of AI usage and the other advantages the plan page lists. A plan belongs to your account, not to a workspace: it does not change what your teammates can do, and theirs does not change what you can do.

For now, Pro and extra usage can be bought only with a billing address in Switzerland. If a purchase with a billing address elsewhere gets through, we cancel it at once and refund it in full, and your account stays on the free plan. Everyone can use the free plan.

3.2 AI usage

The AI features (section 9) draw on your plan's usage. Levra shows how much of it you have used as a percentage, and when it renews. Different requests use different amounts, depending on how much work they take. On a paid plan, one week (from Monday) may use up to the share of the period's usage shown on the plan page. When your usage, or the week's share of it, is used up, the AI features pause until the next week or period begins, unless you use extra usage (section 3.3); on the free plan they pause for good unless you take a plan; everything else in Levra keeps working. Usage that is not used does not carry over to the next period and is not paid out.

3.3 Extra usage

On Pro you can buy extra usage: a prepaid balance in Swiss francs, in the amounts the plan page offers. When your plan's usage is used up and extra usage is switched on, each further AI request is paid from that balance at the rates on the plan page at the time of the request; with it switched off, nothing is taken from it. The plan page shows your balance and what you have spent this month. A balance does not expire, stays usable if you leave Pro, and is not paid out, except under section 3.7 or where the law requires it. What has been used is not refunded.

3.4 Paying

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card or other payment details go directly to Stripe; we never see your full card number. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your payment method at the start of each subscription period until you cancel. Extra usage is paid when you buy it. Receipts and invoices are sent to your account's email address and are available in Settings → Plan.

Levra is bought on the web only. The iOS app sells nothing; a plan bought on the web applies there too.

If a payment fails, Stripe retries it and we tell you by email. If it still fails, your account returns to the free plan at the end of the period; your content is not affected.

3.5 Renewal and cancellation

A subscription renews automatically for the same period (a month or a year) until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time in Settings → Plan, without giving a reason; Pro then stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and is not renewed. Periods already paid are not refunded, except under section 3.7 or where the law requires it. Switching from monthly to yearly, or the other way, takes effect as shown before you confirm.

3.6 Price changes

We may change prices, the usage a plan includes and the rates for extra usage. For a subscription you already have, we tell you at least 30 days in advance by email; the change applies from your next renewal after that date, and you can cancel before it. A lower price or more included usage can apply at once.

Founding members are an exception. If you started your subscription while the plan page offered founding prices, the price and the usage included in it stay as they were when you subscribed for as long as that subscription runs without a break. If it ends, a later subscription is at the prices of its own time.

3.7 Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU, the EEA and the UK)

If you live in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and buy as a consumer, you may withdraw from a subscription within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason. To withdraw, tell us clearly, for example by email to hello@levra.ch from your account's address; sending it within the 14 days is enough. We refund what you paid within 14 days of receiving it, with the same means of payment, minus a share that corresponds to the part of the period you already had Pro, because you asked us to start at once. The same applies to a balance of extra usage bought in the last 14 days: we refund the part you have not used.

When you buy, you ask us to provide Pro and extra usage immediately, before the withdrawal period ends, and you confirm that your right of withdrawal ends for whatever has been fully provided, such as a request already carried out.

Swiss law gives no statutory right of withdrawal for contracts concluded online, so this section does not apply to consumers in Switzerland.

3.8 Invitations and the free first month

If you join Levra through a member's invitation link, or are invited to a workspace, you can start Pro with your first month free, as stated with the invitation. If your account has a confirmed ETH address (@student.ethz.ch or @ethz.ch), you can start the student plan or Pro with your first month free, with or without an invitation. You subscribe with a payment method at the start, but nothing is charged during the free month. We remind you by email a few days before it ends. If you cancel before the end of the free month (Settings → Plan), nothing is ever charged; if you do not, the subscription continues as a paid one from the end of the free month, at the price shown when you subscribed, and section 3.5 applies. Each person can have one free first month: not again with the same email address (in any spelling of it), after deleting an account, or with a card that has already had one. A free month on such a card ends at once, and nothing is charged.

The member who invited you may receive a reward, as described on the plan page, when you start your free month or first pay. Rewards have no cash value and cannot be transferred. We may withhold free months and rewards obtained through fake or duplicate accounts.

4. Your account

Give us a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account unless it is used without your fault. If you think someone else has access to it, change your password and tell us straight away.

5. Workspaces and the people in them

Levra is organised in workspaces. Whoever administers a workspace decides who belongs to it, which role each member has and which projects they can see. Everything you put into a shared workspace or project is visible to the people who have access to it, and they may be able to edit or delete it depending on their role. If you set up a workspace for an organisation, you are responsible for inviting the right people and removing those who should no longer have access.

An organisation that needs a data processing agreement for the content its members put into Levra can ask us at hello@levra.ch; we sign our standard agreement with it.

If you delete your account, what only you could see is deleted with it: workspaces where you were the only member, your private projects, and shared projects nobody else was on. What you added to projects other people can open stays there for them, without your name. Workspaces and projects you created for others stay with the remaining members.

6. Your content

Everything you save in Levra — photos, videos, voice recordings, notes, links, canvases, decisions and their reasons — stays yours. We claim no ownership of it.

You give us the right, for as long as the content is stored in Levra (including the 30 days it spends in the trash after you delete it), to store, copy, convert (for example into previews, transcripts or summaries) and display it to you and to the people you share it with, only as far as this is needed to run Levra for you. We do not publish your content, do not sell it, and do not use it to train AI models.

You are responsible for your content. Only save or upload material you are allowed to use in this way — in particular, respect the copyright of the references you collect, and the privacy of the people shown in your photos, videos and recordings.

Titles, summaries and tags that Levra writes with AI can be wrong. Check them before you rely on them.

7. Levra itself

Levra's software, design, name and logo belong to us or our licensors. For as long as this agreement lasts we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Levra as these terms allow. Nothing else passes to you.

If you send us ideas or feedback about Levra, we may use them freely and without paying for them. You keep any rights you have in them, and we never name you without asking.

8. What you must not do

  • store or share anything unlawful, including content that infringes someone else's rights;
  • use Levra to harass, deceive or harm others;
  • upload malware, or attempt to get into accounts, workspaces or data you have no access to, or to bypass our security measures or rate limits;
  • overload Levra, or access it with scripts, scrapers or bots, except through the features we provide;
  • copy, resell or offer Levra as a service to others, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows.

If you break these rules we may remove the content concerned and, in serious or repeated cases, suspend or close your account. Where possible we will warn you first and tell you why.

9. How Levra runs

Levra is under active development. We aim to keep it available and secure, but we cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and features may change or be removed. We tell you in advance about changes that take away something you rely on.

Keep your own copies of anything important. You can download a copy of your data at any time in the web app (Settings → Account).

Levra's AI features — titles and summaries for voice notes, and the AI actions on a canvas, such as writing code or turning a drawing into 3D — are produced by AI services we use (privacy notice, section 3). Their results can be wrong, incomplete or similar to existing work. Check them before you rely on or publish them; whether you may use a result, for example commercially, is for you to assess. We do not promise that a request succeeds, and a request that fails because the AI service refused or could not carry it out does not count towards your usage.

Some features depend on other services, such as the web pages you save or the AI services above. We are not responsible for the content or availability of third-party websites. Where you use another provider's service through Levra — "Sign in with Google", or playing a YouTube video inside Levra — that provider's own terms apply to it as well.

10. Liability

We are liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and under mandatory law, such as the Product Liability Act. Any other liability, in particular for slight negligence, for lost data and for indirect or consequential damage such as lost profit, is excluded as far as the law permits. The same applies to people who work for us or on our behalf.

You are liable to us for claims that third parties bring against us because of content you stored in Levra or because you broke these terms, unless you are not at fault.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Levra at any time and delete your account in Settings (web app: Settings → Account; iOS: Settings → Delete account). Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Deleting your account cancels a subscription at once; the rest of the period you paid for is not refunded, except under section 3.7.

We can end the agreement with 30 days' notice, for example if we discontinue Levra; you will have that time to download your data, and we refund the part of a period you paid for that falls after the end. We can close an account without notice if these terms are seriously breached.

12. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, for example when Levra gains new features or the law changes. We will tell you about changes at least 30 days before they take effect, by email or in the app. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before then, or cancel a subscription with effect from that date and receive the part you paid for the time after it. If you keep using Levra after the date, the new terms apply. Changes to prices follow section 3.6.

13. Law and courts

These terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. The courts at our seat in Solothurn, Switzerland, have jurisdiction. If you use Levra as a consumer, you may also sue us — and can only be sued — at the courts at your place of residence, as far as the law provides for this.

14. Final provisions

If a provision of these terms is invalid, the rest remain in force, and the invalid provision is replaced by one that comes as close as legally possible to its purpose.

We may transfer this agreement to a company that continues Levra — for example a GmbH or AG that its owner founds — and will tell you beforehand. You may not transfer it without our consent.

We may send you notices about Levra and these terms by email to your account address or in the app. These terms are written in English; a translation is for convenience only.
